A great introduction by the always beautifully presented style-files to Elise Rijnberg and her “art of table setting” table cloth. What a fresh and witty nod to old-school dining! I want one.
Saini Salonen –
Wow, I love this fabric by Saini Salonen. The colors are so saturated and multi-dimensional — like the textile equivalent of an iridescent oil slick, or peacock feathers. Had I ever heard of Salonen before this evening? No, but read all about him (or her?) at the textile blog — a site quickly becoming the wikipedia of on-line textile reference!
Antiktex –
A friend clipped this article out of The New York Times for me about a place in NYC called Antiktex. Read Wendy Moonan’s write-up for the full scoop and just imagine the treasure trove…(Photo above by Librado Romero.)
P.S. This is post #100!
Muriel Brandolini –
This isn’t a name I’ve come across before — but now I see a quick google of Muriel Brandolini brings up lots of people who do know about her and feel compelled (as I do here) to add her to their blogs and favorite-things lists. Her interiors have an exuberantly exotic and eclectic flair but it’s the fabric above that has me smiling, “smokegrey7”.
