Neeru Kumar –

Discoveries like this more than make up for the many dead ends encountered when blogging regularly about a single (though very broad) subject. Neeru Kumar might be my new textile hero! She’s a designer, a pioneer and an advocate for the preservation of textile traditions in India. Here’s her beautiful website and here’s a 1995 article about her in The Hindu.
