Vintage scarves have remained in my textile-addled consciousness since doing a post on David Earp’s framed collection last year. Through Earp’s example scarves have a whole new potential as forms of decorative art.  Hermes has a website (and current advertising campaign) with lots of possibilities for the wall, as does Liberty of London. The image above is a detail one of Liberty’s more eccentric offerings in which Mr. and Mrs. Liberty are depicted. (Note that the Liberty website has scarves tucked away in two sections: Women and Liberty of London Designs. Another good source for vintage scarves of all kinds is Ebay, of course.)
