Werner Weber collects and sells striking Iranian kilims — and rightfully calls them archetypes of “sophisticated minimal design”. Some of the motifs found here resemble those in Native American textiles, and in Ewe Kente cloths from Africa. They’re yet another reminder that cross-cultural visual vocabularies are endlessly fascinating.
